I will use resources from Mehdi to show you how you can create new notes and notebooks in a Web version of Evernote. Later, we will also discuss a Desktop and App versions of Evernote.

LEARNING ACTIVITIES
NOTE: You need to have an Evernote account to complete this activity.
If you didn't have time to set it up before the workshop, go to https://evernote.com/register and register.
ACTIVITY 1: Creating Notes
1. If you haven't used Evernote before, the system might ask you create a note right away. If you used Evernote before, click on + symbol to create a new note.
2. Give your note a title Tech Day at Bob Rumball - website
3. Copy this website address: http://techbobrumball.weebly.com/ and paste it below the title in your note, you can add other text below as well (for example "to review later" or "to watch the videos later"...)
4. Look for a small paper clip icon on the right side, you would use it to attach an image or document to the note (try attaching something by using a document or image you have on your computer)
5. Click Done
ACTIVITY 2: Creating Notebooks
1. If you are using Evernote for the first time, the system will continue providing you with tips and might suggest going to Notebooks section next.
2. Go to Notebooks section to see your existing notebooks (if you are new to Evernote your first note would have been saved in First Notebook)
3. Look for Create a notebook option in the Notebooks section
4. Create a new Notebook called PD Training
5. Go back to Notebooks to see the new notebook in your list
ACTIVITY 3: Moving a note to a different Notebook
1. Go to First Notebook and open the note you created
2. in the top left corner you will see that it is assigned to First Notebook
3. Click on drop-down menu next to it and choose PD training instead
4. Go to Notebooks again and note that First Notebook now has no notes and PD training has one - the note has been moved.

1. Go back to the note you created and add a few tags to it such as training, website or PD

1. While looking at the note you created, click on Share. You can share it via social media, email or link.

3. Copy the link and paste it into a separate browser tab to see if it works

DESKTOP VERSION
The Desktop version of Evernote looks different. It synchronizes with the web version and has many more features. For example, in the Desktop version you can copy notes between notebooks. In the web version you can only move them.
